Slowing and stopping trucks can be an arduous task due to their size and weight. In fact, studies have shown it can take fully loaded tractor-trailers up to a mile to stop when traveling at highway speeds. A Michigan Truck Accident involving a passenger bus earlier this month left almost two-dozen people seriously injured. Reports indicate the crash happened at around 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, August 1, along the westbound lanes of I-94 near Galesburg, Michigan.
According to an article released by The Times Herald, the tractor-trailer was attempting to merge onto the highway just past Exit 88 when the bus suddenly plowed into the rear of the truck. Four people were left with Michigan Truck Accident Injuries following a multi-vehicle chain reaction crash yesterday. The incident happened just before noon along Interstate 70, outside the town of Halfway, Michigan.
According to the Herald-Mail, traffic along the westbound lanes of the highway passing over Interstate 81 had begun to slow due to congestion. A tractor-trailer traveling along the stretch of road failed to see the traffic ahead and slowed down. A 42-year-old truck driver was seriously injured in a Michigan Truck Accident earlier this week. Reports indicate the crash happened at around noon on Monday, along I-96 outside of Berlin Township, Michigan.
According to an article from WILX 10 News, the victim was traveling westbound along the highway in a tractor-trailer combination, when he struck another big rig that had pulled over along the side of the highway. The impact sent the second truck into the path of a passenger bus carrying 20 people.

Due to a manufacturing error in its Tacoma midsized pickup, auto manufacturer Toyota is recalling 150,000 models. The trucks fall between model years 2001 and 2004. Sold or registered throughout almost two dozen cold-weather states including Michigan, the Tacoma model is being recalled because it has been discovered the spare tire has the potential to fall out.
