Sarah Grundy, the youngest of a set of triplets, had an older brother and sister born minutes before her. She graduated from Pinckney Community High School, enjoyed watching ice hockey and wanted to be a nurse. She was planning to begin studying for that vocation at Washtenaw Community College. Huron County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the scene of an accident at the intersection of Geiger Road in Fairhaven Township. A 1998 Chevrolet Tracker spun of control on the slick road, into the path of an oncoming 2012 Ford van. Within moments of the collision the Tracker burst into flames.
The driver of the Tracker, Michael S. Briggs Jr., who was alone in the vehicle, was pulled from the burning vehicle by Christopher M. Thick, the driver of the Ford van. Thick was assisted in his rescue efforts by another passing motorist. Despite the heroic actions of Mr. Thick … Read More

When passing a large vehicle, especially a bus or a tractor trailer, it’s important to leave enough space in front of it before merging over. Cutting too close in front of them can cause a serious accident, especially if someone slows down after merging. It takes time for these larger vehicles to slow down to safe speeds.
